Be on the Committee

The National Ag Science Center is hosting its 15th Annual Ag Hall of Fame Dinner on Thursday, November 8th, 2012.  As always we need help to make this event a success. 

Dinner volunteers are instrumental in the planning and carrying out of this major fundraising event, in fact it could not happen without them.  Volunteers help plan and supervise all aspects of this annual event. 

The Committee Member’s responsibilities include:

Attend and actively participate at committee meetings	Oversee fundraising activities
Assist with development of dinner plan and timelines	Obtain oral and silent auction items
Think creatively and contribute great ideas and contacts when possible	Assist with ticket sales
Assist with recruitment of committee members & Assist in the identification and recruitment of Honorees	Solicit companies/individuals to congratulate the honoree in the Tribute Journal & Secure sponsorships for the event
Recruit volunteers for the day of the event to help set-up, check-in, and check-out.	Assist with follow-up of the event

Time Commitment
We will be meeting once a month from May to December for about an hour to receive progress updates, however most correspondence will be via email and telephone.  Meetings are held at Stanislaus County Farm Bureau in Modesto with dates to be determined.  In addition to attending meetings, volunteers should commit a minimum of 4 hours a month to committee activities.
