Location

On November 14, 2007 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to formally begin the partnership between Modesto Junior College (MJC) and the National Ag Science Center. The Yosemite Community College District Board of Trustees agreed to provide 3.5 acres for the National Ag Science Center to be located at the Modesto Junior College West Campus (Brink and Shoemaker Avenues).

The MJC West Campus provides the Center with many factors considered important for the success of the project: freeway visibility, accessibility and the opportunity for exposure to a variety of students, parents and visitors. In addition, the availability of livestock is very important to enable the National Ag Science Center visitor to be introduced to the breadth of the agricultural industry and create a memorable experience for students and children.

The Stanislaus Ag Center Foundation strongly believes that the location of the National Ag Science Center on the West Campus of Modesto Junior College will strengthen the College, provide credibility to the National Ag Science Center and benefit the community as whole.
